Metabolic pathway kinetics uses the chemical kinetic theory, and a metabolic pathway drawn in WebMetabase, to fit the equation of expected mass spectrometer integrated signal area vs. time to the experimental values observed. The quality of this fitting can be used to assess the metabolic pathway quality, and can be used to guide changes of the metabolic pathway.
